C2C - In their own words
IntroductionC2C is a coast-to-coast cycle ride across England. It crosses the Lake District and the Pennines, and so is somewhat hilly in places. We completed the ride in summer 1996, taking a leisurely four days to do what some mad fools do in one. Collected here are our memories, compiled and edited by Andy. I have kept editing to a minimum, with only some spelling and grammar corrections and some manipulation of title styles and layout to achieve a uniform look. All errors, contradictions and insults are the responsibility of individual authors. Don't blame me. Andy - December 1996 We are Kate and Jon Picket, Eileen and Andy Sutton, Celia and Michael Robinson We would like to thank: Sustrans and other organisations that make the C2C possible The kind people we met en route, especially those in our overnight stops Our families and friends for supporting our efforts All photos by us. C2C logo by Sustrans. Richard English and co also did the C2C in 2000. When you've finished here, why not can read their story? There is an entire site by Dik dedicated toC2C resources which is very thorough and excellent all round. A must if you are thinking of doing this.
